Furfurylamine is an aromatic amine typically formed by the reductive amination of furfural with ammonia. The pharmaceutical drug furtrethonium, a parasympathomimetic cholinergic, is a trimethyl ammonium derivative of furfurylamine. Furfurylamine also has use in the synthesis of Barmastine.
