Kolour Tsuen Wan

Kolour Tsuen Wan is a engineering topic covered in the lgStudy science library. This page brings together a partial reference excerpt, illustrations, worked examples, real-world applications and a short study plan, so you can understand Kolour Tsuen Wan rather than just read about it. In short: KOLOUR‧Tsuen Wan (Chinese: 荃灣千色匯) is a private housing estate and shopping mall in Tsuen Wan Town, New Territories, Hong Kong. Its phase 1 (previously named as Tsuen Wan City Landmark I, Chinese: 荃灣城市中心I, opened in 1996) and phase 2 (previously named as Tsuen Wan City Landmark II Chinese: 荃灣城市中心II or Tsuen Wan Town Square Chinese: 荃灣城市廣場, opened in 1989) are located at Chung On Street and Castle Peak Road respective…

Key takeaways

  • Kolour Tsuen Wan belongs to engineering; place it in that map before memorising details.
  • Learn the definition first, then one example that makes the definition concrete.
  • Connect Kolour Tsuen Wan to a quantity you can measure, compute or draw — that is where exam questions come from.
  • Reproduce the core statement of Kolour Tsuen Wan from memory before moving on to harder problems.

Reference excerpt

KOLOUR‧Tsuen Wan (Chinese: 荃灣千色匯) is a private housing estate and shopping mall in Tsuen Wan Town, New Territories, Hong Kong. Its phase 1 (previously named as Tsuen Wan City Landmark I, Chinese: 荃灣城市中心I, opened in 1996) and phase 2 (previously named as Tsuen Wan City Landmark II Chinese: 荃灣城市中心II or Tsuen Wan Town Square Chinese: 荃灣城市廣場, opened in 1989) are located at Chung On Street and Castle Peak Road respectively, and they were developed by Henderson Land Development. The shopping mall in phase 1 and 2 covers the total area of 330,000 square feet (31,000 m2). Two phases are connected by air-conditioned pedestrian footbridge. The largest tenant of the shopping mall is Citistore Tsuen Wan Branch, which has been regarded as one of the landmarks in Tsuen Wan Town Centre. Citistore is also the subsidiary of Henderson Land Development.

Worked examples

Example 1 — a first encounter with Kolour Tsuen Wan

Start with the simplest possible case. Write down what Kolour Tsuen Wan claims or describes in one sentence, then invent the smallest concrete situation in which that sentence is true. In engineering, the smallest case is usually a single object, a single equation or a single measurement. Check that every symbol or term in your sentence has a meaning in that case.

Example 2 — changing one variable

Take the situation from Example 1 and change exactly one quantity: double it, halve it, or set it to zero. Predict what should happen to Kolour Tsuen Wan before you calculate. Comparing your prediction with the result is the fastest way to find out whether you understand the idea or only the words.

Example 3 — an exam-style question

Typical questions about Kolour Tsuen Wan ask you to (a) state it precisely, (b) apply it to given data, and (c) explain a limitation. Practise writing all three answers in under five minutes; the third part is what separates a full-mark answer from an average one.

Applications of Kolour Tsuen Wan

In research
Kolour Tsuen Wan appears in engineering research whenever the underlying quantities have to be modelled precisely. Papers usually cite it as a starting assumption and then explore where it breaks down.
In technology and industry
Engineering practice reuses Kolour Tsuen Wan in design rules, simulations and safety margins. Knowing the idea lets you read a specification sheet and understand why the numbers look the way they do.
In the classroom
Kolour Tsuen Wan is common in secondary-school and first-year university syllabi. It links to neighbouring topics Buildings and structures completed in 1989, Commercial buildings completed in 1996, Henderson Land Development, so understanding it makes those chapters shorter.
In everyday life
Look for Kolour Tsuen Wan outside the textbook — in sport, cooking, traffic, electronics or the sky above you. An example you found yourself is remembered far longer than one you were given.
