CAx applications incliude computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided engineering (CAE), and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM). In addition, industrial-range CAx applications are supported by dedicated product data management (PDM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and other software layers. General-purpose PDM and ERP software is not listed here.
