The following list includes the countries with the highest share of articles published in scientific journals according to the Nature Index 2026, which is valid for the calendar year 2025. The "count" is the total number of articles to which nationals of the country have contributed. The "share" is lower than the count because for each article it is based on the number of nationals who have contributed, divided by the total number of contributors. In many cases the "share" will be much lower than the "count" because the "count" includes articles published by institutions which may have only a very few members of the relevant nationality out of a very large total membership.
