Nubia Technology

Nubia Technology is a science topic covered in the lgStudy science library. This page brings together a partial reference excerpt, illustrations, worked examples, real-world applications and a short study plan, so you can understand Nubia Technology rather than just read about it. In short: Nubia Technology Co., Ltd. is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Originally established as a wholly owned subsidiary of ZTE in 2012, it became an independent company in 2015 and received a significant investment from Suning Holdings Group and Suning Commerce Group in 2016.

Key takeaways

  • Nubia Technology belongs to science; place it in that map before memorising details.
  • Learn the definition first, then one example that makes the definition concrete.
  • Connect Nubia Technology to a quantity you can measure, compute or draw — that is where exam questions come from.
  • Reproduce the core statement of Nubia Technology from memory before moving on to harder problems.

Reference excerpt

Nubia Technology Co., Ltd. is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Originally established as a wholly owned subsidiary of ZTE in 2012, it became an independent company in 2015 and received a significant investment from Suning Holdings Group and Suning Commerce Group in 2016. ZTE reduced its stake in Nubia to 49.9% in 2017. Officially, this meant Nubia was no longer considered a subsidiary of ZTE, but rather an associate company. In February 2016 Nubia became a sponsor of Jiangsu Suning F.C. for a reported CN¥150 million. The company hired footballer Cristiano Ronaldo to promote the mobile phone of the company in May 2016. In 2017, China Daily reported that Nubia would build a factory in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. In April 2018, Nubia Technology launched a gaming sub-brand, named REDMAGIC (红魔). REDMAGIC announced its new 5G compatible device REDMAGIC 5G on 12 March 2020, in Shanghai. REDMAGIC is known for being the first smartphone brand to put cooling fans inside their phones. The company also unveiled a partnership with Chinese esport team Royal Never Give Up, to further expand its brand among esport enthusiasts. On 13 April 2020, the company unveiled a brand new logo as well as its new brand vision. In March 2022, Nubia unveiled the first gaming phone featuring an under-display camera technology, the REDMAGIC 7 Pro. In 2023, Nubia released the Red Magic 8S Pro, touted as the strongest gaming phone to date. In 2024, Nubia released the Red Magic 9S Pro+ with the highest Antutu smartphone score to date. In July 2024, RedMagic announced its entry in the computer category with its first gaming laptop, the Titan 16 Pro, available in China and global markets, while in September, they launched their first gaming tablet, the Nova gaming pad.

Worked examples

Example 1 — a first encounter with Nubia Technology

Start with the simplest possible case. Write down what Nubia Technology claims or describes in one sentence, then invent the smallest concrete situation in which that sentence is true. In science, the smallest case is usually a single object, a single equation or a single measurement. Check that every symbol or term in your sentence has a meaning in that case.

Example 2 — changing one variable

Take the situation from Example 1 and change exactly one quantity: double it, halve it, or set it to zero. Predict what should happen to Nubia Technology before you calculate. Comparing your prediction with the result is the fastest way to find out whether you understand the idea or only the words.

Example 3 — an exam-style question

Typical questions about Nubia Technology ask you to (a) state it precisely, (b) apply it to given data, and (c) explain a limitation. Practise writing all three answers in under five minutes; the third part is what separates a full-mark answer from an average one.

Applications of Nubia Technology

In research
Nubia Technology appears in science research whenever the underlying quantities have to be modelled precisely. Papers usually cite it as a starting assumption and then explore where it breaks down.
In technology and industry
Engineering practice reuses Nubia Technology in design rules, simulations and safety margins. Knowing the idea lets you read a specification sheet and understand why the numbers look the way they do.
In the classroom
Nubia Technology is common in secondary-school and first-year university syllabi. It links to neighbouring topics 2015 in Shenzhen, Chinese brands, Electronics companies of China, so understanding it makes those chapters shorter.
In everyday life
Look for Nubia Technology outside the textbook — in sport, cooking, traffic, electronics or the sky above you. An example you found yourself is remembered far longer than one you were given.
