Education Monteiro holds BSc and MSc degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a PhD in Neuroscience. Awards Monteiro has received a number of awards and distinctions, including the FEBS Excellence Award from the Federation of European Biochemical Societies and the Branco Weiss Fellowship.
