Penoxsulam is sulfonamide and triazolopyrimidine herbicide that acts as an acetolactate synthase inhibitor. It is primarily used for rice production. Penoxsulam's HRAC classification is Group B (global, Aus), Group 2 (numeric), as it is an acetohydroxyacid synthase inhibitor.
