Pseudoalteromonas citrea is a yellow-pigmented marine bacterium that is antibiotic-producing and was isolated from Mediterranean waters off Nice. Originally named Alteromonas citrea, nearly two decades later it was reclassified as part of the Genus Pseudoalteromonas. Cells are gram-negative.
