Characteristics Like other members of the Reovirales order, viruses of the Sedoreoviridae family are made of naked, icosahedral capsids containing 10-12 segments of linear double-stranded RNA (dsRNA). The Baltimore System of viral classification categorizes Reovirales in Group III.
