SpaceX Starbase, Louisiana is a planned rocket manufacturing and launch facility for Starship launch vehicles located near Pecan Island in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. The spaceport was announced on August 25, 2026, by Louisiana governor Jeff Landry, who stated that SpaceX would invest $100 billion into the site's development. The launch site would contain propellant production and vehicle processing facilities, as well as the possibility of an onsite airport. While the property is over 125,000 acres (510 km2) of land, which would make it the largest spaceport in the world, the actual launch facilities would only cover a small portion of the total land area near the coastline which borders the Gulf of Mexico. Construction of the launch site is expected to begin in 2027, with the first launch targeting for 2029. According to SpaceX's CEO Elon Musk, the site is expected to eventually have over a dozen launch towers and support a cadence of around 30 launches a day. The site is expected to create 3,000 jobs in the local area and 8,100 more indirectly.
