WASH complex subunit 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the WASHC3 gene (previously CCDC53). As its name suggests, the WASHC3 protein is part of the core of the WASH regulatory complex, together with WASH (WASHC1, WASH2P or WASH3P), WASHC2 (A or C), WASHC4, and WASHC5.. It is predicted to be involved in the transport out of the cells via exocytosis.
